Who is Helona and what do you do?

Helona.gr is the easiest to use property search facility for those looking to buy or rent in Greece and Cyprus. We connect property seekers hunters with their ideal property. Also on the site, you will find guides on different aspects of the buying, selling and renting processes.

I can’t find any properties in the area I am searching for?

We suggest you use the ‘Advanced Search’ option or the search box on the left hand side of the results page, to widen your search. For example, if you are looking for a specific municipality, try searching under the related county.

I am looking to sell/let my property and would like to advertise it directly on Helona.gr, is this possible?

Helona.gr only accepts properties from member estate agents. To ensure your property features on the site make sure you contact a member agent who advertises with us.

How much does it cost to advertise in the Showroom and how do I pay for this service?

The costs of our Showroom are to be found on our products page. Helona bills the estate agent for the Showroom services he/she has purchased. It’s up to the estate agents’ discretion whether they charge the owner of the property for this service or whether they chose to cover for this themselves.

How do I find a specific agent?

Select the “Agents” from the top of the main page. This will bring you to the Agents list page through which you can search by alphabetical order or by area.

How do I do a search for a property on Helona.gr?

First you need to use the menu at the top of the page to select you purpose (i.e. Buying or Renting). You can than search by using either the Quick Search or Advanced search. In the Quick Search just type the Region, City, Area, or postcode you are looking for. It also offers a price range. The next page will be the results page - at this stage you can change your criteria, add more details to your search, broaden your area, specify a particular type of property, for example apartment, villa, new homes, how many bedrooms, etc. The advanced search option offers you the ability to define your search by all possible factors, i.e. number of bedrooms, a/c, etc.

Why doesn’t your search recognize the location I have typed in?

The most common reason for this is misspellings. Double check your location to make sure you spelt the place name. Otherwise try using the advanced search to look for your location. If you believe a place name should be recognised or displayed and it is not, please contact us.

Why don’t all the properties have full details and photos?

Helona.gr encourages all our agents to provide as many details and photos as possible on the site. However, sometimes an agent wishes to place the property on the site as soon as they are instructed on it but they have not had an opportunity to take photographs or prepare a full description. In these instances the properties may display with the ‘awaiting photo’ icon. If it concerns your property and you feel it doesn’t have as much information as you would like, please mention this to the agent when you contact them to encourage them to add more information. If you want more information on a property you have seen on Helona.gr, we recommend that you contact the agent directly.

How can I find an agent to instruct to sell/let my property?

You can search for an Agent directly by selecting in the menu at the top of the page “Agents” and picking on from the list. When you have found the agent(s) you are looking for from the list you can directly instruct or send them an email. You can also select “Instruct” from the top menu and instruct one or more agents directly. In this way they will contact you upon receipt of your instruction. Agents are also displayed on the individual “Property” pages.

What should I do if I want more information about one of the properties I’ve seen on your site or to arrange a viewing?

In order to arrange a viewing for a property you need to contact the agent who is advertising the property. To contact the agent use the ‘Contact Agent’ button on the property details page. You can also contact an agent with a general enquiry by going to the Agents main page, via the agents list. Additionally, you can call the phone number provided.

My house is being sold through a Helona.gr member, but it doesn’t appear on the website. Why not?

If your agent is a Helona member, then your property should appear on our site as soon as your agent has completed (and you have approved) the property details and uploaded them to our database. Please contact your agent to make sure s/he has finished the details.

The details of my property on Helona are incorrect. What should I do?

Our member agents directly enter the details of their properties. Contact your agent to inform them of the errors.

I asked for details on a property but haven’t heard anything yet. What should I do?

We’re sorry that the agent you contacted has not promptly replied to your request. We suggest you directly call the agent in order for your queries to be answered immediately.

Can I sell my home privately through Helona.gr?

Helona.gr does not allow private sales. If you want to have your home listed on Helona, you can find members in your area by searching our member agents. Alternatively, ask your preferred agent to contact Helona about membership.

Which Internet browsers do you support?

Helona.gr has been developed based on Internet Explorer for optimal performance. The following Internet browsers are also supported. Earlier versions may work, however we recommend you upgrade to one of these free browsers to get the most out of our website.

Which screen resolution do you recommend?

We recommend you view the site at a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768.
